Take Road Trips - Rent a Car

Get a rental for sidetrips and you'll see more

Loopers are a boom to the harbor town economies along the route and to the rental car industry in particular. A car expands the range of exploring an area and seeing all the sights because a road trip lets you visit places much faster than on your boat. For example, it's a 100-mile trip up the Potomac River to Washington DC from the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay, but it's an hour's drive from a popular port-of-call like the Solomons or Annapolis.

For a boat break ashore tto return home iit's often handier to use a one-way rental car since many of us travel with canvas sacks instead of suitcases.

For those traveling long distances however, marinas near airports are particularly popular and they makes it easy to change crew members or pick up new ones when help is needed.
